Who you are
- 3+ year of experience in a fast-paced environment, such as management consulting, investment banking, or startups
- Proficiency in SQL and Python with a strong ability to perform complex data analysis and generate business insights
- A commercial orientation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to support our commercial teams by building scalable data tools, executing data analyses, and building data-driven stories that showcase Garner Health's value to clients
- You'll also transform complex data into actionable insights to drive decision-making across our organization
- This role reports to the VP of Data Analytics
- Detailed Claims Analytics
- Data-driven storytelling: Convert data and analytics into compelling narratives that demonstrate the value Garner provides in reducing healthcare costs and improving quality of life. Support Customer Success and Sales teams in presenting these insights to existing and prospective clients
- Business Intelligence Development: Design and build business intelligence dashboards and automated tools that can produce client-facing reports at scale, ensuring accuracy and clarity
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Support: Partner with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing and other teams to ensure Garner has the necessary infrastructure for data-driven decision-making. Assist in designing critical business KPIs, developing forecasting models, and uncovering answers to open-ended questions that inform strategic decisions across departments
Our take
An overworked US healthcare system has resulted in long waits and expensive prices. Due to rising costs, the health insurance industry often leads to patients not accessing the care that they need. Garner Health creates digital services that allow patients to find a medical expert that fits their specific needs, whatever their insurance circumstances are.
The startup provides an app that analyses local health-insurance claims history through AI. This data is used to recommend local medical professionals that will work with a patient's circumstances whilst providing direct communication channels for liaising. This helps patients to identify the highest-quality doctors and helps doctors improve how they practice medicine.
Despite other companies providing similar bespoke healthcare services, Garner Health shows a cutting edge by partnering with patient employers. This provides the financial incentive that employers must cover all or a portion of medical expenses, making healthcare financially accessible for all involved. The company has good funding at its back, and in 2022 partnered with Marathon Health towards reducing the inefficiencies of specialty referrals.
