Who you are

  • Professional fluency in English (both spoken and written). Any additional language will be a plus
  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar guest-facing role
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, professionalism, attention to detail and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction
  • Proficiency in using computer software for booking, communication, ticket management and record-keeping. Knowledge on Zendesk and Hubspot usage will be a plus
  • Available to work Monday to Sunday on rotating shifts 04 PM- 01 AM
  • Comfortable performing in a start-up environment

  • We are looking for a Guest Experience Specialist to join our Ukio team in Barcelona
  • You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests have a seamless and memorable stay in our apartments
  • You will be the voice of our company, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns, and enhancing the overall guest experience
  • Your excellent communication skills and your fluency in English and Spanish will be vital in raising the bar on Ukio’s service standards

Our take

Renting an apartment abroad can be a complicated and expensive process. Ukio solves this problem by making it easier to lease an apartment in prime city locations.

Ukio was founded by two veterans of Knotel and Airbnb, and the company functions in a similar way to the latter. However, it differentiates itself from Airbnb and other rental sites by focusing on the mid-length leases and fashionable locations typically favoured by professional remote workers. The company has benefited from the increasing number of people looking for flexible short term rentals especially in major international hubs.

Having already expanded into Germany and Portugal, it is using recent investments to enter the French and Italian markets, with longer term goals to establish a presence in the UK and Ireland. It is also building a B2B solution for international businesses to allow them to offer accomodation to their remote employees.
