Who you are

  • Professional proficiency both in German language and English

What the job involves

  • We are looking to hire for an Account Manager position, responsible for developing our strategic portfolios through relationship building, engagement activities and ensuring a great customer experience
  • This individual will analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities to grow their account portfolio and utilize an extensive network of relationships with the relevant industry to gather market intelligence, and execute on business development opportunities
  • Nurture and grow an existing portfolio of strategic shippers and achieve volume goals with best-in-class service
  • Maintain a high level of engagement from strategic customers and proactively identify the challenges they are facing
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio
  • Be the voice of the customer to guide product development and iterations
  • Identify and lead complex projects or initiatives to solve customer pain points and improve experience
  • Communicating ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all types of audiences and not limited to writing narratives, business cases and other strategic documentation
  • Lead by example and coach other team members to ensure success as a team
  • You’ll be based at one of our sites. Being on site allows you to stay close to every part of the delivery process and means you have visibility of everything to guide our logistics partners
  • You’ll look after all elements of our partner relationships, from getting the contracts in place to keeping track of performance
  • This role is all about clear communication. You’ll be in daily contact with the partners you manage to make sure they have everything they need to carry out deliveries on time

Amazon's seen great success in the space, with its revenue from advertising now higher than its Amazon Prime membership scheme, audiobooks and digital music combined. This growth is particularly impressive considering its digital ad rivals (like Snap, Alphabet, and Meta) have suffered declines due to wider macroeconomic factors and Apple's iOS privacy changes.

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
