Who you are

  • 6+ years of iOS/Android experience having worked on multiple apps shipped to the App Store/Google Play
  • Deep experience in either iOS or Android and proficiency across both
  • Experience shipping and maintaining a mobile app over an extended period of time — working with mobile apps at scale or having helped apps scale to millions of users is a plus!
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well across multiple teams
  • Willingness to flex and build understanding across the tech stack, whether it’s platform infrastructure, web frontend, or backend
  • A passion for programming alongside strong problem-solving and technical design abilities
  • A love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to solve real problems
  • A high bar for engineering excellence
  • Excitement to build products entrepreneurs rely on to run their businesses and an interest in driving business outcomes in addition to engineering architecture and code
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience

What the job involves

  • We are looking for an iOS/Android Engineer to help lead mobile development across our teams serving the 100,000+ unique brands that sell their products on Faire’s wholesale marketplace
  • Faire’s Brand-facing teams are responsible for the Faire for Brands apps available on the App Store and Google Play and build products and experiences to help independent brands grow their businesses and become more successful selling on Faire
  • Build a world-class experience for brands to run their businesses on Faire
  • Grow Faire’s business through product and engineering outcomes
  • Set the long-term vision for native client app development for Faire’s teams building experiences for Brands
  • Contribute to core abstractions and frameworks used to build native mobile apps across Faire
  • Coach and mentor engineers in a fast-paced & hyper growth environment
  • Raise the bar on the quality of our mobile apps through broad testability strategies
  • Drive our technical strategy around unified mobile architecture and exploration into Kotlin Multi-platform
