Our take
Mobile games have existed for as long as mobile phones have been sold, and due to innovations in the small processors and graphics cards of phones, they’re better than ever. Consumers now expect significantly better quality and value out of mobile games, but this generally means that they rapidly reduce battery life and require expensive high-spec phones to run smoothly.
Oh BiBi develops video games for smartphones, focussing on producing high-quality releases that are developed specifically for mobile, use minimal battery life, run on minimal specifications, yet feel as engaging as AAA releases. The company releases its games with a freemium approach, allowing users play the games for free, whilst providing tactically-placed in-game purchases.
Whilst the company has countless well-established mobile game developers to compete with, Oh BiBi stands out with their streamlined approach to making games that use minimal power and battery life. The company has also taken the unique angle of developing games specifically for low-spec smartphone gameplay, as opposed to the problematic yet common approach of porting high-spec console games to smartphones.
