Role

Who you are

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering role, or a similar technical sales position. Experience with b2b SaaS products strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with a knack for attention to detail
  • Experience working with prospects and customers to deepen relationships, find solutions, and close deals
  • The ability to think through and position SafeBase’s product as a solution to our customers’ most critical problems
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams

Desirable

  • Familiarization with Trust and/or TPRM platforms
  • Previous security industry experience. While a formal security background isn’t required, it would certainly help
  • High level exposure to security, automation, auditing, and other SaaS centric tool/software

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for Pre-Sales Engineer to join our growing Sales team
  • In this role, you will play a pivotal role in understanding our customers demonstrating the value of SafeBase’s product, while delivering tailored solutions that address our customers business needs
  • Partner with the sales team to understand customer challenge and technical needs. Engage with key customer stakeholders to explain complex technical concepts and showcase the value of SafeBase’s product
  • Develop and present customized demonstrations that align with customer needs and highlight the benefits of our products or services
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert and clearly articulate the value of SafeBase solutions and the methods to our customers
  • Engage with the SafeBase Product team to align our product roadmap with customer requests
  • Regularly communicate with diverse, internal stakeholder groups, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success
  • Actively look for ways to improve our processes through your experience, team collaboration and customer feedback

Our take

Security assessment for B2B companies looking to sell to enterprises can be a gruelling process. Such assessments can drag on for weeks, inflating overhead costs and stagnating progress. This is where Safebase comes in: its platform allows companies to automatically monitor and present its security program.

Through use of Safebase, companies can shave days off of the assessment process by ensuring accurate information and updates are immediately available on a unique security status page. It has a steadily increasing number of customers, and is directed primarily at smaller startups who lack the funding (or need) to conduct full security audits. This includes likes of Instacart and LinkedIn, suggesting that Safebase’s proposition is appealing as more than just a money-saving strategy

Since being founded in 2020, and joining the Y-Combinator startup accelerator the same year, Safebase has been steadily gaining momentum. Further, recent funding secured will be used to invest into its platform and develop its services further.
