Role
Who you are
- At least 8 years of experience in a relevant tax field
- Strong professional tax background. Experience in German capital gains taxation is highly desirable
- Passion for capital markets. Experience in the financial services / banking sector is a plus
- Reliable personality with high attention to detail
- Strong communicator with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, clearly articulate complex tax topics succinctly
- Self starter with the drive to work in a fast-paced, ever changing, high-growth organization
- German and English language skills are required (full professional proficiency)
What the job involves
- This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor and grow within a fast-paced environment
- You will head an international team of subject matter experts and lead all things Customer Taxes
- Work closely with our Product teams on new products, product improvements and tax compliance - you will be the main point of contact for financial products related tax topics within the organization
- Own the German market as the subject matter expert for tax topics that relate to the entire product range of Trade Republic: securities, crypto, current accounts, cards
- Coordinate with our external partners, including financial institutions, service providers and tax advisors
- Analyze existing and upcoming tax laws regarding their impact on Trade Republic’s existing and future business and take responsibility for necessary implementation
