Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
  • 6+ years proven experience in business development at a tech company, with at least 2 years experience in Web3, blockchain, or cryptocurrency industry
  • Strong understanding of web3 including decentralized finance, social, and the wallets space
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, with a track record of driving growth and engagement
  • Creative thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation within the web3 space
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, analytics, and social media management
  • Content creation and storytelling

What the job involves

  • The Marketing Director at Avara will lead our efforts to engage and grow our community in the Web3 ecosystem and beyond
  • This role involves developing strategic marketing initiatives to promote the Avara products (Aave, Lens, and Family), and building an ecosystem of users and developers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web3, digital marketing strategies, and community engagement practices
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and engagement strategy, including identifying key opportunities for audience growth
  • Community Building: Lead efforts to build and nurture a strong, engaged community around our products through social media, forums, and other digital marketing channels
  • Partnership Marketing: Work with growth team to support strategic partnerships in marketing efforts
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging and informative content tailored to the web3 audience, including blog posts, videos/audio, and social
  • Event Support: Work with event team to drive audience to hackathons, meetups, and online activations, to increase brand visibility and community engagement
  • Market Research: Conduct ongoing market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in web3
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of ecosystem marketing initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives
