  • You are able to start a full time graduate job in September 2025
  • You’ve got a portfolio that demonstrates a mix of well-crafted and user centred work
  • Strong visual design skills and a passion for finding solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our products
  • You’re able to clearly rationalise your decisions to other team members

Desirable

  • You’re curious about learning from user testing and iterating on your work
  • Mobile interface work and prototyping
  • Understanding of how to design responsive web experiences
  • You have knowledge or experience of creating production ready deliverables

What the job involves

  • As a Graduate UX/UI/Service Designer , you’ll join our Design team in September 2025
  • This full-time role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact and kickstart your career
  • You’ll be onboarded with the global Graduate cohort in one of our offices and learn the basics of being a Wiser
  • During Design graduate programme, you will spend the first 9 months working in one of our product teams, where you’ll shape useful, usable, and memorable customer experiences
  • You will then rotate into a second 9 month placement with a different team within the same squad and add breadth and depth to the skills you developed in your first placement
  • At the end of the 18 month grad programme you will settle into your permanent role
  • We’re looking for a Graduate UX/UI/Service Designer to join our multidisciplinary Design team in London
  • Your time will be spent working and learning in product teams, where you’ll shape useful, usable, and memorable customer experiences. You’ll be part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system, because people without borders need money without borders

  • You’ll get to know Wise product teams and customers, building empathy and deep understanding of their needs
  • You’ll be honing and flexing your craft skills in a collaborative environment
  • You’ll be influential in your team, guiding them to prioritise customer-centricity, creativity, and design quality

Our take

Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.

Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.

The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
