Who you are
- We’re seeking a seasoned backend engineer whose passion for development is rivaled only by a passion for meaningful mission-based work
- Ability to move fast and work through ambiguity in a startup environment
- Effective collaboration with frontend engineers, product managers, data scientists, behavioral health specialists, and others
- Willingness to learn new technologies and processes that may be out of your comfort zone

- Proactive and consistent improvement of the security and reliability of our systems
- Clear and efficient technical writing and thought to communicate complex ideas
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent with roughly 7 years of backend experience
What the job involves
- You’ll have the responsibility to ensure that the healthcare we provide is enabled by functional and reliable platforms for clinicians, clients, and internal staff
- Build and manage core backend systems to support applications, integrations, and partnerships
- Evangelize for and improve upon best practices for code, data model, infrastructure, and documentation
- Build and manage APIs to support client, therapist, and administrative applications
- Build and manage 3rd party integrations
- Infuse all of your work with empathy, security, and quality to produce high-quality experiences
