  • 2+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department

  • Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to provide contract, project management, and other legal support to the legal team supporting Amazon's global payments businesses
  • As an Associate Contract Manager, you will be a key member of our team, helping us support clients around the world as we work to provide world class payment services and experiences to our customers
  • The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete high volumes of complex tasks and projects quickly with autonomy; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick responses; support multiple internal clients; and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the group or other related groups
  • The candidate will also be customer-obsessed, have great attention to detail while meeting deadlines, great organizational skills and the ability to switch gears/topics at short notice
  • A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential
  • This person’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing simplification and legal automation projects, supporting with litigation and compliance matters, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements, managing complex projects for the Payments Legal team, outside counsel management including support with budgeting and processing of legal invoices, business training on legal tools, general administration, and other tasks needed to support the business and legal teams
