Some team members provide knowledge and support over our traditional data warehouse applications, building upon these environments with SQL and traditional ETL methods
  • At the same time, our newest technology expands our data models via Snowflake, bringing the best of cloud scale and compute capabilities and long-lived data engineering practices
  • You will develop and maintain the overall system's technical architecture
  • You will collaborate with technology and management teams to understand structural requirements and define standards for storing, consuming, integrating, and managing data across the organization and translating it into a usable blueprint
  • You will build an inventory of data needed to implement the architecture and create a vision for how data will flow through the organization
  • You will design and build complex data models and approve modifications to and implement systems
  • You will implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, constantly monitoring and refining the performance of data management systems
  • You will produce and enforce database development standards
  • You will provide architectural design and planning of technical activities, including application architecture, system landscape, installation sizing and planning, system change management, performance monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, problem analysis, and problem resolution
  • You will ensure interoperability at the data level across a full range of relevant Company products and services
  • You will ensure data integrity and the data's strategic value is understood and practiced throughout the Company
  • You will mentor other development and business teams on data architecture design and requirements
  • You will manage incoming technical requests and design systems for optimum performance; proactively identify potential problems; create and modify strategies to resolve problems; document issues and resolutions
  • You will maintain descriptions of data, structures, and metadata

Our take

IDEXX was founded in 1983 to run diagnostics for Veterinary Practices of all sizes. Some of its software products include Cornerstone, Ezyvet, Neo, VetConnect PLUS, and more. It also provides solutions for livestock, poultry and water testing.

The global veterinary practice management software market, characterized by increasing awareness of animal health across the globe, is expected to reach over USD 1.59 billion by 2030.

IDEXX continues to develop innovative products such as its most recent Vello, a pet owner engagement software. This engagement platform tackles the age-old problem of communication clarity between veterinary professionals and customers. IDEXX's broad product range and generous funding rounds exemplify its place as a leader in the veterinary software market.
