What the job involves

  • Arista Networks is looking for world-class Software Test Engineers to help us build our next-generation network management system
  • You will be part of a design and test team that works on the latest technologies in state streaming, big data, and advanced analytics
  • The goal is to help network operation teams effectively manage their large networks that deviate away from their antiquated, time-consuming approaches
  • Our solution will instead help our customers overcome many of their challenges through our provisioning and telemetric solutions, for both on-premise and cloud solutions
  • Designing and executing system-level test cases for our next-generation management system. This will involve both scale and performance-related test cases to observe how components within our system behave in the most strenuous environments
  • Working alongside the development team to help root-cause any issues found. This will involve running many experiments to prove/disprove any current theories, often involving automation tools to assist you with your task
  • Writing up detailed bug reports that include a complete characterization of the system at time of failure, while describing the impact that it can have on our customers
  • Working with our Technical Support team to help reproduce, debug, and resolve any issues reported by our customers
  • Strong passion for beautiful and intuitive user-interfaces (GUIs and APIs) that create a pleasurable user-experience (UX) for our customers

Our take

Arista is a supplier of cloud networking solutions, addressing the needs of internet companies, cloud service providers, and enterprises. While the business is not tied to a crowd of large customers, companies are nonetheless attracted to its CloudVision Software - which has the potential to save them a significant amount of money.

The company's growth so far has led to it being seen as a rising star in the computer networking industry. It competes directly with digital giant Cisco, but despite this boasts impressive revenue growth. In fact, Arista has been vocal with its confidence that it can continue to grow at a rapid pace, as it further develops its offering for the networking market.
