Role
Who you are
- You bring at least three years of experience working with backend technologies
- You are an expert using Ruby on Rails in production
- You have broad experience with single page application frameworks, preferably React.js, having React Native and some Angular experience is a plus
- You know SQL very well
- You are focussed on scalability, testability, and maintainability of the deliverables
- You bring a hands-on mentality, and enjoy trying and learning new things
- You are a team-player
- You are a good communicator
- You have solid English skills

- TypeScript, React Native
- Container technologies (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
- AWS or some other cloud provider
- PostgreSQL

What the job involves
- We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Berlin
- It is an exciting time to work at Caspar because you will be the one designing how the system will work in the future
- You will develop new functionality and continuously improve the Caspar Health applications
- You will collaborate closely with colleagues from Product Management, UX, QA, Analytics, DevOps, and Architecture disciplines to improve teamwork and exchange of knowledge
- You will use your field of expertise to improve development processes
- You will contribute to best practices in code quality, test automation, APIs, CI/CD, and Software architecture
