What the job involves

  • The Implementation team at TravelPerk manages the onboarding of our new clients
  • We are looking for a German-speaking Implementation Specialist who will be responsible to successfully execute and launch the implementations within your portfolio
  • As an Implementation Specialist, you will analyse the specific needs and circumstances of each customer in order to propose a suitable implementation plan tailored according to the client
  • Your success will be measured upon the completion and adoption of the TravelPerk platform among your customers' users
  • You will be the subject matter expert in the area of change management and, most importantly, you will deliver a 7-star experience for our clients during the onboarding process
  • The role of the Implementation Specialist requires superb communication and project management capabilities, organizational and problem solving skills, as well as keen attention to detail
  • Although Implementation Specialists need to be tech-savvy and understand some basic technical concepts in the area of integrations and open APIs, they do not need to be experts in this area right away
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to successfully implement new clients
  • Initiate, plan, execute, control and close implementation projects, including developing requirements documentation, finalising deliverables and building out client-facing communications
  • Reviewing contracts, optimising resource management and validating process quality
  • Serve as the first point of contact for client escalations during the implementation process
  • Develop and implement strategy plans to achieve account ramp-up goals
  • Ensure that accounts are staged, scheduled, and prioritised according to both client and business needs
  • Communicate complex and technical information in a manner that all audiences can easily understand
  • Ensure that project team members have a clear understanding of timelines, tasks, risks and issues

Although business travellers are often at the forefront of driving company growth, booking travel is typically a logistical nightmare as corporate travel tools are underdeveloped and stuck way in the past. TravelPerk has built a platform free from micromanagement, creating an experience that puts business travellers first.

TravelPerk's number of active users has grown year on year. Further, as well as more customers using the platform, those on it are using it more regularly. This is a clear signal that TravelPerk has a product market fit and is in scaling mode. The company has more than 2,000 customers, including scaleups like Revolut, Farfetch and Beyond Meat.

According to TravelPerk, its unit economics are strong already, which puts it in a strong position to grow without diluting itself too much through investment. The company is still innovating and said it is planning to release more products that will give the business traveller more freedom and flexibility than ever before. Its new Edinburgh hub and partnership with fintech unicorn Pleo, TravelPerk is undoubtedly committing to a period of scaling. Exemplifying this is its Series D funding of $104 million awarded in January 2024, which will boost TravelPerk's AI and automation capabilities to aid its growth.
