Role

Who you are

  • 7+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager in the Advertising technology industry, with a strong track record of successfully launching and managing digital advertising products
  • Deep understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, including ad exchanges, programmatic advertising, audience targeting, and RTB mechanics
  • Familiarity with various Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs) and their functionalities to be able to collaborate effectively with partners and optimize strategies to maximize ROI
  • Familiarity with omnichannel supply and the evolving ecosystem of addressability solutions
  • Ability to hustle with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills. Excellent communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience. An MBA or M.S. degree is a plus

What the job involves

  • InMobi Exchange (IX) is one of the largest mobile ad exchanges in the world with a global footprint of tens of thousands of mobile applications generating nearly 100 billion ad impressions a month
  • InMobi is looking for a product leader to drive this vision by solving some of the hardest problems faced by the ad tech ecosystem today
  • In the role of a Sr. PM within InMobi Exchange, you will build and manage platforms to drive direct demand onboarding via advertisers, agencies and holding companies
  • You will also lead the overall ecosystem strategy on the buy side which encompasses many strategic partnerships such as data platforms, reseller platforms and sales enablement tools
  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to create and execute product strategies that align with market demands and business objectives
  • Your expertise in the ad-tech industry, combined with your leadership and analytical skills, will play a crucial role in shaping our products' success
  • This is a stratospheric impact role as your work will directly define the next generation of a billion-dollar business and will set you on an accelerated path of product leadership in the enterprise and ad-tech space
  • You will report to the VP of Product for IX within a broader organization consisting of product marketing and partner management functions
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap for our InMobi Exchange products, in line with the company's strategic goals and market trends
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing and customer success teams to gather feedback from clients and translate it into actionable product improvements and features
  • Gather and document detailed product requirements, ensuring they are well-defined, feasible, and covers all business use cases
  • Work closely with the engineering and design teams to oversee the product development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between various teams to ensure seamless product delivery and alignment with business goals
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the product vision, progress, and upcoming releases

Our take

Mobile advertising is an incredibly important element of marketing campaigns for modern businesses, but success is limited to the quality of engagements that campaigns have on audiences. Engagement can be optimised by targeting ads to relevant audiences through cookies and other data sets, but without the right analytic tools to lead to actionable insights, this data remains useless.

InMobi provides a data-driven mobile marketing platform, offering a toolkit called InMobi Pulse that provides insights into mobile marketing based on consumer feedback, product testing, and other proprietary data. The company also provides InMobi Exchange, a platform for reaching mobile-first audiences and an enterprise-grade platform for purchasing DSP services.

Whilst it is undeniable that InMobi faces competition from other mobile-focused marketing platforms, the company stands out with the sheer range of tools it offers and its focus on markets such as India and Southeast Asia which are difficult for North American and European firms to enter. InMobi has plans to further expand globally, however, and is bringing its Glance lock screen advertising product to the US and Latin America in the near future.
