Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
- A strong interest in data-intensive use cases
- Experience with datastores such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Postgres
- Strong proficiency in Golang; experience with other programming languages is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with reliability engineering on areas such as observability and incident management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Desirable
- Familiarity with protocols like SCIM and other concepts in the IAM (Identity and Access Management) domain
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker

- Okta's Customer Identity Cloud (CIC), powered by Auth0 technology, is an easy-to-implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers
- We make access to applications safe, secure, and seamless for over 100 million daily logins worldwide
- Within CIC, the Data Migrations team specializes in building robust, data-driven services that seamlessly move customers across environments in real-time
- We’re looking for a skilled Staff Software Engineer passionate about distributed systems, platform engineering, and building scalable services
- You'll collaborate closely with architects and stakeholders to develop and maintain crucial infrastructure for CIC's ecosystem
- This is a high-visibility role with an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in a greenfield space and make a significant impact
- Writing maintainable, efficient code using proven patterns to solve complex problems
- Utilize streaming technologies and implement change data capture (CDC) strategies to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data transfer
- Ability to understand performance optimisation and reliability of migration processes through continuous monitoring and tuning
- Participate in team’s on-call rotation to build operational excellence on services we support
