Who you are

  • We are looking for a strategic and data-driven Performance Marketing Analytics Manager to be the analytical backbone of our marketing efforts
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in performance marketing analytics or a similar role, preferably within the financial or technology industry
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights
  • Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive dashboards to monitor marketing funnel performance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, finance, and sales teams
  • Demonstrated ability to generate reports and track progress against key marketing initiatives
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work

  • A deep understanding of the financial industry & financial service technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of retirement programs, state-administered Auto-IRA programs or experience working with other state savings programs

What the job involves

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the return on investment of all Vestwell marketing activities (mail, webinars, events, and website enhancements) and collaborating across the marketing team to set up processes for monitoring the marketing funnel from lead generation to opportunity close
  • This role requires working closely with other teams, including finance and sales, to ensure our marketing strategies align with our overall business goals
  • The role reports to our Growth Marketing Director, and will play a pivotal role in steering our growth marketing strategy
  • Develop and implement comprehensive dashboards to monitor the entire marketing funnel, from lead generation to opportunity close
  • Support marketing teams by generating reports and tracking progress against key initiatives such as advisor re-engagement and saver participation rates
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to establish cohesive dashboards and reporting mechanisms for channels and messaging strategies
  • Set up a feedback loop to share how various messaging and channels perform, used to inform marketing decisions
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of new landing pages, ensuring they align with our marketing objectives
  • Identify and select appropriate platforms to track marketing performance

The current landscape of 401(k) retirement plans is stagnant in comparison to the standards of financial software innovation. Vestwell offers a digital record-keeping platform that works directly with wealth management firms to help workplaces save money on their employee retirement plans. Vestwell does this by removing the friction points financial advisors and companies have in establishing and maintaining defined contribution and benefit programs.

The startup faces competition from legacy players such as Boston-based Fidelity Investments who currently keep track of almost $2 trillion in assets in the industry. Furthermore, Empower also focuses on advisor-friendly and customized web tools and functionality, presenting further competition to Vestwell.

Despite this, Vestwell is uniquely positioned to disrupt the stagnant 401(k) system, a stance only strengthened by its substantial rounds of funding through the 2020s. This has been invested into expanding platform functionality and servicing for its partners and clients, releasing two new products in September 2022 - Vestwell Flex and a TPA portal. These additions will make Third Party Administration partnerships more efficient for Vestwell customers, streamlining the recordkeeping systems necessary for such actions. Continued product updates like these will help Vestwell keep pace with its substantial competition.
