What the job involves

  • We are looking for an outstandingly talented, analytical, driven, S&OP expert that can excel both at an operational level and at driving strategic initiatives with senior management
  • At an operational level, you will own the S&OP definition for short distance middle mile activities, ensuring development of a capacity feasible plan in alignment with the strategic priorities of Amazon
  • At strategic level, you will be responsible for driving operational improvement and change initiatives in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and in alignment with senior management
  • As S&OP expert, you will work on highly ambiguous and complex problems to deliver actionable results and collaborate with other teams to maximize impact
  • To be effective in this role, you need to work with the internal teams to define business requirements, dive deep in the details to build sophisticated models and tools that support operational decision making
  • The role is inherently cross-functional and the responsibilities include working across organizations
  • This is a role that requires to be comfortable wearing multiple hats, have entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative with different teams
  • Design, manage and execute S&OP cycle for TAP program
  • Design and implement Intra-week planning process to increase TAP attainment and improve resource utilization
  • Work closely with wider teams including network planning, capacity planning, ATS supply mix, operations to continuously optimize for customer experience and linehaul/shunting efficiency
  • Integrate known future events and constraint management into a weekly planning process routine
  • Manage operational issues with our linehaul partners, resolving operational queries in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Drive regional S&OP strategic operational (e.g. process, tools, etc.) and development initiatives
  • Contribute towards the quarterly strategic planning process
  • Present operational and project updates to senior management
