Role

Who you are

  • 2+ years of experience working in either Sales or Customer Success (or other relevant experience) for a SaaS provider
  • Have a CPA designation or equivalent strong track record of knowledge of accounting fundamentals and principles
  • Creative problem solver with a proven track record of success
  • Ambitious, curious mindset to always work to find creative solutions to difficult problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Hungry to learn and help team deliver on ambitious goals in supporting the sales organization to meet revenue targets
  • Comfortable delivering technical sales presentations, product positioning, and objection handling
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong technical experience and understanding of cloud technologies, including APIs, database migrations and security infrastructure

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Senior Platform Specialist to join our rapidly growing Solutions Engineering team that supports our world class Sales team
  • This role is for someone with a positive attitude, growth mindset and a sense of ownership to take projects from ideation to completion
  • As an excellent communicator, who is naturally curious and able to explain complex technical solutions to various stakeholders, you will serve as a partner to our Account Executives to help support and close business
  • You will be able to support a full sales cycle, beginning at technical scoping and solution architecture in presales all the way through proper handoff to the Customer Success teams
  • Provide business value and technical sales support for assigned opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to clearly articulate the following: Clio Suite of Products (Manage, Grow, Draft, Payments, Personal Injury, Accounting, File) with a focus on new products, Clio core platform capabilities, Clio App Ecosystem integration partners, Clio Certified Consultants offerings, competitive landscape and differentiation, database migration services, industry best practices, and the creation of ‘out of the box’ custom solutions
  • Serve as the technical lead and owner of technical deal strategy
  • Take ownership over new product functionality and serve as a liaison between Sales, Product, and Customer Success
  • Strategize with Sales to create business value, drive urgency and contribute to revenue goals
  • Enable Sales to deliver targeted, persona-based, business-value driven demonstrations and meetings related to new products
  • Stay on top of industry news, technology products, platforms and partners to ensure you and your team provide and maintain deep industry and ecosystem expertise
  • Find ways to continually maximize efficiencies and revenue per account in the technical sales process and support sales efficiency across sales teams and segments, including deep knowledge and value of all of Clio’s Suite of products
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to help collect, document, communicate and influence product roadmap based on market/customer requirements

Modern law firms increasingly manage their work digitally but the lack of a specialised remote solution means that workflows have become fragmented. This leads to legal practice managers having to juggle multiple software solutions across various devices.

Clio provides a legal practice management platform designed for law firms, allowing users to manage billing for legal aid cases, access and manage documents and store files across multiple devices. Whilst other startups are operating in this niche, Clio has uniquely focussed on synchronisation across remote devices and on a wide range of integrations, allowing the user to access information from other industry standard software such as Xero and Klyant from within a single interface.

Clio has raised a large amount of investment capital, most recently in a 2021 Series E round which saw the company attain unicorn status with a valuation exceeding $1 billion. This funding is being used to accelerate its product development, hire additional talent, and for expansion into new markets with a focus on the EMEA region, particularly the UK and Ireland.
