What the job involves
- Step into a pivotal role on our Design Team, where you'll have the autonomy and independence to elevate our design practice and build a world-class, multi-skilled design function
- Our current design structure is agile and lightweight, and proactive, direct customer engagement is a core element of how we design products
- As a Senior Product Designer, you'll collaborate closely with our Product and Engineering teams, leveraging your expertise to solve complex problems and create impactful, accessible financial products
- Your work will consistently deliver exceptional outcomes for customers, driving both innovation and usability
- You’ll bring your creative vision and seasoned experience, while we empower you to lead the way, working on opportunities that create meaningful impact within your product area
- Collaborate and innovate within your team to pinpoint high-impact opportunities that will drive meaningful results for your product area. You’ll be empowered to make key decisions that define product success
- Design cutting-edge financial solutions with a global reach, gaining recognition as your work helps drive innovation across partners like eBay, Vagaro, and more
- Your designs will help fuel the success of small businesses, crafting innovative financial solutions that contribute to economic growth, create jobs, and support independent businesses in their journey to scale
Application process
- Nitial screening call with Chess (Internal Recruiter) – 30 minutes (these will take place W/C 30th September)
- In-depth interview with the Product & Design team – 1 hour
- Task-based interview with the Design Team – 90 minutes

Our take
London-based Liberis offers small businesses a new way of securing loans. By taking an agreed % of customer credit and debit card takings, Liberis has created a brand new system of repayment, meaning small businesses no longer have to rely on traditional loans. Whilst small businesses are a cornerstone of the global economy, they are continuously turned away by traditional lenders, hence Liberis has been able to harness a crucial part of the global market whilst boosting small business.
Liberis isn't the only 'pay-as-you-earn'-style finance provider: it competes with similar schemes provided by the likes of Amazon and Paypal. Nonetheless, it has seen rapid growth, and has funded around $1B to over 23,000 SMEs across the UK, Europe, and the US. This can be accredited to the platform's use of machine learning to understand a customer's risk profile, and hence the maximum funding options available to them.
Liberis operates an impressive global partner network that consists of eCommerce platforms such as Klarna. It has raised significant funding that will enable it to grow its European presence with new and established partners, bringing flexible funding options to SMEs in new territories such as the Nordic region.
