Who you are
- JD required; Member of State Bar
- 8+ years experience practicing law with extensive experience in commercial matters, including contract drafting and negotiation
- Ability to pivot quickly with business needs and be extremely responsive to clients and senior leadership
- Experience with technology and IP related agreements, SaaS agreement, IP/licensing agreements, supply chain agreement, and data privacy issues
- Public company experience is desirable
- Excellent written, oral, listening, and organizational skills with proven ability to interact effectively with varied audiences, including executive team members
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and executive level presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines in a changing, fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to stand firm on issues with business clients when necessary
- A high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment and a business appreciation all with a view to managing risk in the most cost-effective manner
- Superior legal and analytical skills – excellent judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions and possess a business-oriented approach to problem solving
- Strong business acumen including the ability to think like a business person and integrate legal and business issues, so as to partner effectively with business leaders

What the job involves
- The Assistant General Counsel – Global Commercial will be responsible for managing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements that comply with Company policies and risk tolerance
- Although the position will primarily be responsible for negotiating commercial agreements from around the globe, there will be opportunity for other transactional, commercial and regulatory projects for the Company as well as other matters as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer
- This position will report to the Vice President, Sr. Associate General Counsel, Global Commercial
- Manage the drafting and negotiation of global commercial agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance
- Assist in improving standard form agreements, playbooks and legal processes
- Handle complex matters such as marketing/advertising agreements, influencer agreements, SaaS agreement, supply chain agreements, IT agreements, retailer agreements, distributor agreements, technology and IP agreements and commercial matters pertaining to global consumer goods, international manufacturing, and global data privacy issues
- Oversee outside counsel and other outside resources when necessary or appropriate and assume responsibility for the quality and cost for these matters
- Manage day to day counseling of business clients across the globe
- Develop and provide training to business team members on commercial legal matters as needed
- Manage commercial paralegal team members as needed and assigned by management
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management

A 2023 IPO saw an extra $296 million in funding added to SharkNinja's pot and was followed by product launches in new sectors such as air conditioning and food cooling, indicating that the company is still full of new product ideas.
