Who you are

  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong analytical skills are essential
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred)
  • 3-5 years of the relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience in accounting or audit
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel and Accounting Software
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

What the job involves

  • We are seeking an experienced Accountant to maintain financial records, prepare reports, manage accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance
  • The role includes budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support business growth
  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Conduct financial analysis and generate reports to support decision-making processes
  • Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances
  • Posting month-end closing
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
  • Monitor and analyze budget variances and report findings to management
  • Provide recommendations for budget adjustments as needed
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense reimbursements
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and financial statements
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national tax regulations
  • Prepare and submit documents to file tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, and other applicable taxes
  • Liaise with external accounting, audit and tax advisors as required
  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support business growth and development
  • Participate in financial planning and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings
