My favourite part about our meetups is meeting colleagues from all over the world, with different views and experiences. In the Talent Team, continuing to hire people from a diverse range of backgrounds is a top priority.

Sona strikes a good balance between giving me the trust and autonomy to do my best work, while being on hand to support and unblock me where needed.

Sona genuinely care about staff wellbeing, there's no token consideration or pretence. The 4.5 day working week and flexible hours make for a great work-life balance. They put trust in their employees to just get their work done and do it to the best of their ability, which helps us to feel autonomous and do our best work. The way they treat their staff is exemplary.

Sona hire people who they believe will be great at their job and then trust them from that point to just do it without micromanagement or office politics. I feel completely autonomous in my role and that my skills, experience and anything else I bring are truly valued. There is a balance of being given enough responsibility that you feel challenged and motivated, but enough support that you never feel overwhelmed or stuck.

The founders and management more generally are such lovely, understanding people who just want to make Sona a great place to work and to empower us to all build great products that will improve people's lives. The culture and values at Sona are exemplary, and this is largely down to excellent management.
