Who you are

  • Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated and collaborative individual with growth mindset, relevant corporate tax experience and curiosity to learn
  • BS in accounting or finance related degree is required, MS in taxation preferred
  • 4+ years of corporate tax experience with public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and reporting, knowledge of ASC 740 a plus
  • Experience with using the OneSource Tax Provision software preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are required
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently and can drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with others and enhance teamwork environment

What the job involves

  • Workday is looking for a Sr. Tax Analyst to join our growing Tax Team
  • The individual will play a key role in supporting U.S. Domestic Income Tax Compliance and Tax Provision functions
  • This individual will also have opportunities to assist other aspects of the corporate tax function, including tax process transformation and tax planning
  • Identify book-tax differences, and prepare the U.S. federal and state income tax return workpapers as well as the state net worth capital tax workpaper, including extension and quarterly estimated tax computation and payments remittance
  • Assist reviewing the income tax returns prepared by external tax consultants
  • Keep track of the federal and state income tax legislation updates, and assist with the tax research and tax technical memo in supporting the company’s tax positions
  • Assist with income tax notices and assist with tax audits
  • Assist with the quarterly and year end income tax provision computation
  • Assist with monthly income cash tax forecasting and annual R&D tax credit study
  • Maintain OneSource Tax Provision and tax attributes modules
  • Assist with the SOX 404 compliance
  • Play a key role in tax process improvement and automation
  • Assist with ad hoc tax projects
