Who you are

  • A minimum of 6 years in sales with at least 2 years leading a sales team in the software industry
  • A proven track record of exceeding quotas and driving sales growth
  • Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders within organizations and navigating negotiation, legal, and procurement processes
  • Experience managing team longer-term strategic deals (250k+)
  • Demonstrated success in leading "hunting" focused teams driving new logo acquisition and growth business
  • Experience coaching sales methodologies (such as "Command of the Message" and Meddicc) and creating sales enablement programs that emphasize competitive differentiation and execution
  • Experience helping teams sell a platform with multiple products, managing multiple buyers across an organization
  • Strong leadership qualities, including talent selection and development, effective communication, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams

What the job involves

  • We are seeking an Emerging Enterprise Sales Manager to lead a US-based team of Account Executives focused on driving growth in the emerging enterprise segment
  • This role is crucial in refining and executing our strategy to attract new customers while expanding our existing customer base
  • You will play a key role in shaping the future of our sales efforts, leading your team to deliver exceptional results
  • Lead your team to consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through strategic leadership, business acumen, and consultative selling skills
  • Establish and monitor KPIs that align with your team's business plan, focusing on pipeline generation and predictable revenue delivery
  • Collaborate with other departments to address technical, business, and deployment challenges
  • Hire, train, and motivate your sales team, providing regular coaching and mentoring for personal and professional growth
  • Develop and refine tools for monitoring performance, providing regular reporting on success and areas for improvement
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to track and report team forecasts, sales activities, and pipeline management, ensuring accurate sales growth
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Growth, Enablement, Sales Operations, and Customer Success teams to create the best possible customer experience
  • Create and close opportunities with emerging enterprise accounts
  • Become an expert on Amplitude's products, conducting discovery calls, customized demos, and presentations to prospective customers
  • Effectively communicate the value of Amplitude to key stakeholders within accounts, navigating complex sales cycles
  • Collaborate with internal resources, including SDRs, Solutions Consultants, and Customer Success, to drive success

Our take

Amplitude provides product analytics to help companies understand user behaviour. Product, marketing, and growth teams use Amplitude to discover and share insights about user engagement, retention, and revenue.

Amplitude’s user flows reveal which actions are the most commonly taken after users sign up, and which usually precede purchases made in-app, creating paths through the app. The behaviour of individual app users can be viewed with unlimited real-time activity feeds and user timelines.

Thousands of companies use Amplitude analytics including Microsoft, Under Armour, Intuit, Twitter, Bonobos, Peloton, and many more. In 2024, a securities fraud case was filed against Amplitude due to an IPO and stock share rise that was alleged to be artificially inflated before their downturn in 2022. Whilst this case is ongoing, Amplitude is still releasing new products and operating at full capacity.
