Who you are

What the job involves

  • As the Director of Marketing (EMEA), you'll be in charge of building and managing a team of entrepreneurial marketers with a wide variety of career experience across marketing, science/engineering, investment banking and corporate strategy
  • You’ll navigate unforeseen obstacles in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and will report directly to the SVP of Demand Gen and work alongside the CMO and exec team
  • This is the perfect opportunity to have full ownership over our EMEA marketing theatre
  • Own all aspects of marketing in the EMEA region, including Growth Marketing, field and channel marketing, brand campaigns, localized positioning, marketing operations, and marketing development rep team
  • Build and lead a high-performing multi-national marketing team that experiments with and executes strategies across various demand generation channels, including digital advertising, web marketing, outbound campaigns, channel, and field marketing events, to generate half of the required pipeline (and bookings) for the EMEA region
  • Analyze data to identify pain points and adapt strategies for improved campaign performance. Conceptualize and experiment with new campaigns for enhanced revenue efficiency as we scale
  • Engage positively with Sales teams to ensure marketing efforts translate into tangible opportunities and bookings
  • Collaborate with the global creative and product marketing team to develop local authentic messaging and promotions that guide prospects through the funnel and the necessary brand aircover needed to showcase Verkada’s main value propositions

Our take

Before Verkada stepped onto the scene, the evolution of video security was happening primarily in the consumer space. Home-security technology like video doorbells was becoming mainstream, but, ironically, enterprise security was lagging behind. Many large-scale companies were using outdated tech, creating problems for their security operations.

Verkada recognised that commercial security was outdated and backward, and began a mission to get commercial security up to date. The company provides clients with computer-vision cameras, using machine learning to identify security issues. Enterprise security is by no means a new market, but Verkada's success has come from its ability to recognise what large companies need and to provide up-to-date solutions. Its products have seen considerable uptake and major funding saw Verkada secure a multi-billion post-money valuation.

The company has also recently placed a focus on looking for new ways to foster connection across teams, this has included their 333 Program, which has helped foster connectivity with employees as well as supporting local businesses. The company has recently closed a further Series D funding round to help them continue driving towards their goal "to be the essential physical security software layer for every building".
