Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • Experience designing and developing robust and scalable software and services in multimedia areas
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Previous experience as Technical Program Manager for the launch of a product with multiple critical components

Desirable

  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience managing programs involving Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs) or Hardware Manufacturers

What the job involves

  • Fire TV powers over a wide range of smart TVs and is now available across Europe, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager, who is able to drive new device introduction and software initiatives
  • We drive the coordinated effort to launch FireTV programs, with both Amazon internal teams and 3P partners
  • In this role you will oversee the successful development, launch and sustaining of FireTV programs
  • The role is inherently cross-functional: you will work closely with a high-energy team of software engineers, product managers, marketers, customer service leads as well as external partners (inc. device manufacturers, brand & retailers)
  • As FireTV launch team, we manage the lifecycle of the FireTV cross-functional programs, we act as the voice of our programs, being the primary point of contact for the product development and launch, and ensuring the right level of communication up to VP level

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
