Who you are

  • 3+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or a related field
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating expertise in crafting user-centered content that improves the experience for users
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of tone, voice, and style in digital content
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and managing complex projects in a fully remote environment
  • Experience in creating and maintaining content guidelines and documentation
  • Familiarity with UX research principles and the ability to use data to inform content decisions
  • Working knowledge of Figma and other design-related areas including information architecture, internationalization, and accessibility best practices

What the job involves

  • You'll be joining a passionate team whose resumes include Canva, Figma, GitLab, Google, InVision, Typeform and Zendesk
  • Write clear, compelling and concise copy for UI text including tooltips, navigation labels, error messages, in-app notifications, onboarding guides and other interface elements across the end-to-end product experience
  • Work with closely with product designers, product managers, engineers and product marketing to ensure content considerations are integrated from the early stages of discovery all the way through to launch
  • Conduct research to benchmark industry standards or to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors that shape our messaging to align with user expectations
  • Use data to inform decisions on whether to iterate and enhance copy based on user feedback, usability testing, and success metrics
  • Maintain and document our evolving content, brand, and voice/tone standards, as well as define a clear and repeatable process for how others can collaborate with UX writing
  • Perform content audits to identify and resolve inconsistencies, outdated information, and areas for improvement
  • You'll work closely with the Product Design team on creating an on-brand user experience within our product that delights our users
  • You'll work closely with Product Marketing to align on naming, releases, and communication timelines to ensure consistent and delightful messaging across the platform
  • You'll work on supporting the user journey with actionable microcopy that ensures the optimal path to value
  • You'll set the systems required to deliver human words across our product portfolio that delight customers
