Role

Who you are

  • 12+ years of PM leadership or equivalent experience in the ads space
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Proven experience of building advertiser facing products driving $xBN plus in revenue
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to manage large teams, influence xfn partners, and bridge operational gaps
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of the ads marketplace, including pacing, targeting, bidding, and auction mechanisms
  • Deep analytical experience to solve complex problems
  • Extremely comfortable managing upwards with Executive-level leadership
  • Basic knowledge of the Ads Marketplace

Desirable

  • Experience managing Business Suite or Ads Manager at a top tier Ads marketplace
  • Experience managing a team of 15+ product managers
  • Strong academic background in CS or a related field

  • The Product team uses creativity, research, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap Inc
  • This team of Designers, Scientists, and Product Managers works in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that innovate and improve the performance of Snap's advertising platform and user experiences
  • Together these teams drive value and success to our customers and bring our community together in new and special ways
  • Drive and own the product strategy for our entire suite of advertiser facing products. This is the gateway into Snap and this candidate should exemplify empathy for advertisers and translate said empathy into simple, intuitive, and performant products
  • Drive end to end product strategy and roadmap for our entire Ads product suite
  • Drive revenue and advertiser growth by building intuitive products that drive true business outcomes for our advertisers
  • Drive responsible signal collection and implementation techniques to ensure we provide the highest ROAS possible for our advertisers while driving delight to our users
  • Closely partner with our Consumer team to cross-pollinate roadmaps in order to build intuitive and accretive experiences for all parties – consumers as well as advertisers
  • Lead data driven decision making through extraction of deep insights and rapid experimentation
  • Collaborate with partners across Eng, Design, PMM, and Ops to ensure everyone is building towards the same north star
  • Lead and grow a large team of Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers
  • Be an execution focused leader

Our take

Snap is the social media giant that owns Snapchat, a social media mobile app released in 2011. Created to serve as a more emotive communication form than texting, the app has gained mass popularity, reaching upwards of 400 million daily users worldwide.

After rejecting a billion dollar acquisition from Meta (then Facebook) in 2013, Snap has found itself in competition with the social media giant, particularly with Instagram. Despite this, the company has marked a place for itself in the ever competitive social media space through developing features like a Discover tab, augmented reality lenses, in-app games, ads and monetisation options, as well as launching its paid service, Snapchat+.

Snap has so far not earned an annual profit since going public in 2017, but as Snapchat's user base has continually increased it has nearly closed the gap. Like other tech companies it suffered in late 2022 due to a surprise drop in advertising revenue, but has been rebuilding to its former trajectory since then. Given Snapchat's lasting popularity amongst young people, further success appears likely.
