Who you are

  • Previous experience working within commercial finance is essential
  • Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to succinctly summarise complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner for stakeholders of any level / function
  • Good management skills managing commercial finance analysts
  • Ability to build great relationships with people from across the business
  • Self-starter, with a real bias for action

What the job involves

  • We have an exciting opportunity in the form of a Finance Manager in the Commercial Finance team! Reporting into the Commercial Finance Director you will manage two commercial finance analysts as well partnering teams in our Choice Tribe including, Buying, Food Process, Recipe Development and Menu Planning to name a few!
  • Business partner the Choice Tribe Leads with the tools to deliver commercial success and outstanding financial results:
  • Deliver robust, timely, accurate and useful financial information and analysis
  • Drive performance against budget & OKRs, challenging stakeholders on variances and driving actions to mitigate against risks
  • Raise the bar for the standard of tribe commercial analysis, ensuring we continually learn and seek to improve our commercially-driven mindset as a tribe
  • Work with business partners to develop reliable short- and medium- term forecasting/ budgeting, ensuring that planning processes are geared towards action, mitigating risks and maximising opportunities
  • Work with tribe leads to build the long-term plan for the areas & budgets owned by key stakeholders
  • Support the creation of relevant business cases for investment and/or proposition decisions in the Choice tribe
  • Understand the ROI of tech and non-tech resource allocations in the Choice tribe
  • Hold the Choice squads to account for delivering on financial OKRs, reporting on performance and hosting regular progress meetings

  • Be actively involved in the quarterly / half-yearly OKR setting process, financialising opportunities with your team where possible and ensuring decisions are commercially-driven
