Who you are

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in GTM strategy in a leadership role, with a focus on successfully implementing sales strategies and driving results through a third-party vendor

What the job involves

  • We’re seeking an experienced Go-to-Market Strategy Leader to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong GTM strategy background with a particular emphasis on experience working with small businesses, developing the playbook, propensity models and analysis, vendor partnerships, customer experience, and a deep understanding of upsell and post-purchase sales
  • This should include a depth of experience working cross-functionally to identify specific customers with specific needs at specific times. The successful candidate can zoom out and see the whole picture while diving into the details to build a comprehensive sales/GTM strategy
  • The Director of GTM Strategy has a proven track record of success using an analytical approach to understand how to drive sustainable growth and will have extensive experience partnering cross-functionally with tech, product, marketing, and operations
  • Establish and maintain critical relationships with existing and/or prospective partners
  • ​​Drive the execution of revenue-driving programs and initiatives
  • Foster a business culture of continuous improvement, providing vendor coaching and guidance to enhance sales performance
  • Ensure effective and timely internal & external communication
  • Maintain pipeline and dashboards that communicate to Executive Leadership the effectiveness of identified programs and investments
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including tech, product, marketing, operations, and customer success
  • Accountable to monthly revenue target for inbound and post-purchase performance. Responsible for creating a strategy to engage with Legal Zoom customers 30-60-90 days after initial formation to upsell products and services
  • Work collaboratively with Central Operations and Training as new GTM or outbound initiatives and launched to insure best in class results

LegalZoom has helped millions of people who otherwise could not hire a lawyer, with its extensive range of legal solutions. It competes with a handful of other companies, such as IncFile and Rocket Lawyer, that also provide online legal technology.

However, it has found space to grow its operations nonetheless, partially due to the rise in interest in digital solutions. An IPO in 2021 also enabled LegalZoom's growth, though in 2024 a class action is underway to investigate the company's significantly lowered share prices.
