Who you are
- The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with deep expertise in Java, SQL, databases, Kubernetes (k8s), Docker, and has a strong understanding of cryptocurrency technologies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on Java development
- Extensive experience with SQL and database management
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (k8s) and Docker for containerization
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, including staking mechanisms
- Proven track record of designing and building scalable, high-performance systems and APIs
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Prior experience in the fintech or financial services industry
- Experience with Staking and Custody in Blockchain technologies
Desirable
- Experience with other programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Understanding of security best practices in software development
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Lead, Senior Software Engineering to join our team
- This individual will play a pivotal role in designing and building scalable, well-abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to integrate blockchains and staking functionality into our custody platforms
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, well-abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services
- Integrate blockchain and staking functionality into our custody platforms
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of skilled software engineers
- Ensure high-quality code through best practices, code reviews, and automated testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
