Who you are

  • This role is ideal for a proven salesperson, ideally with an established track record of success selling audio, who has a deep passion for podcasts, has experience in a fast-moving media environment, and displays confidence in presenting and building relationships
  • Experienced with a proven track record of success selling to agency holding groups and brands directly
  • Experience in fast-moving media environment - Podcast/audio sales a plus
  • Well versed in the programmatic advertising landscape In-depth knowledge of current trends and developments in the digital ecosystem
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Self starter who is happy to work remotely to begin with (with full support from our international team)

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a experienced Sales Manager or Director (based on experience) to join us as our dedicated salesperson on the ground in The Netherlands
  • You are a confident & driven individual who will help grow our existing agency relationships and open new opportunities with brands and agencies in this exciting new market
  • This is an amazing opportunity to join a pioneering company as hire number one in the Dutch market
  • The Dutch market is a vibrant and successful one for Acast where you will be selling content from across a variety of locally renowned networks like Tonny Media, Meer Van Dit as well as international content from BBC, The Economist and more…
  • Currently this is a consultant/freelancer role of 35-40hrs per week
  • Drive advertising revenue growth in The Netherlands through both local and global brands
  • Evangelize, educate and sell the Acast Marketplace -- Ads, Sponsorships and Branded Content-- through both direct IO and automated channels
  • Work collaboratively with all facets of the business -- content, marketing, finance
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other regions across the Acast global footprint
  • Represent Acast at events and serve as a brand ambassador

Acast is a podcast hosting platform, monetized by its ad network. Users gain access to a variety of tools including sharing tools and advanced analytics, and earn money via the adverts provided by the Acast service. Acast publish podcasts to all podcast apps such as Amazon, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

The Acast is the platform is used by worldwide brands such as the Guardian, BBC, HuffPost, VICE, Vougue and the Financial Times. It enables creators and advertisers to foster meaningful relationships with listeners, while giving anyone access to insightful, educational, and entertaining audio content.

In 2021, Acast acquired competitor RadioPublic, making Acast the biggest podcast platform in the US. With this acquisition, Acast will bring more features to its platform including the ability for podcasters to set up dedicated websites for their shows and a targeted text messaging feature.
