Who you are
- You are an expert at the mechanics of finance and thrive under fast-paced and high-pressure environments
- Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative fields such as Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- Proven experience: 4+ years in Investment Banking or Private Equity
- Nice to have: 2+ years in FP&A or Strategic FInance
- Familiar with SQL/R/Python querying and business analysis
- Grit and willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on; you persevere when others fall away
- Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking
- A self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills; proven ability to balance multiple critical tasks and consistently deliver against demanding deadlines
- Ability to work independently and discover opportunities for improvement proactively
What the job involves
- As we gear up for our next growth phase, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced FP&A Lead to dive deep into financial analysis, forecasting, fundraising and high-level decision making
- Your work will form the foundation for strategic decision-making
- Translating financial data into actionable insights; proactively proposing solutions, not just reporting numbers
- Building relationships with stakeholders across the business; understanding your stakeholders' needs and challenges
- Communicating complex information in a clear, compelling way
- Influencing decision-makers and driving strategic initiatives
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual target-setting, budgeting and forecasting for the company
- Automate data collection and consolidation to streamline processes
- Work with the Head of Finance on capital structure, management and allocation
- Model the key opportunities, risks, and costs associated with the current (and any new) business model and plan
- Understand unit economics, competitive influences, and what drives growth
- Act as the financial partner to business
- Engage in preparing materials to be shared externally, including investor decks, financial models, and KPIs
