What the job involves

  • Amazon Freight Europe is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Finance Manager to join the Finance Strategy & Expansion team to externalise the freight business, designing and delivering a world class freight experience for our customers
  • In this role, you will drive profitability and customer experience by directly influencing the development, planning, and execution of our transportation network (https://youtu.be/en5YqrtBGvY)
  • The role will require quickly learning operations to grasp the big picture in order to develop financial metrics
  • As part of this you will need to communicate clearly and succinctly with business leaders to influence decisions with data, working across Europe and North America you will partner closely with Product, Program, Operations, and Commercial leaders to define the expansion strategy, proactively solving the challenges and opportunities that this creates
  • In this impactful role, you will lead the long-term financial planning of Amazon Freight, collaborating with business stakeholders to shape strategies and investments for success
  • Your responsibilities will involve evaluating the merits of each investment, expansion initiative, and product offering to optimise profitability
  • Your insights and analyses will directly influence senior management decisions, guiding our path towards sustainable growth as we continue to rapidly scale
  • To succeed, you will need to quickly familiarise yourself with operations, gaining a holistic understanding of our business
  • Your willingness to respectfully challenge your stakeholders, backed by compelling data-driven arguments, will ensure that decisions are anchored in sound judgment and aligned with our overarching goals
