Role
Who you are
- Frontend Development Experience: Demonstrated expertise in developing cross-platform web applications, with a preference for experience with Angular
- Commercial Software Background: Minimum of 2 years of commercial software experience, showcasing your ability to thrive in professional software development environments
- JavaScript Proficiency: Strong proficiency in building web applications with JavaScript and popular frameworks like Angular, React, Bootstrap, JQuery, etc. Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PhantomJS, Jasmine, etc. is highly valued
- Web Application Architecture: In-depth knowledge of web application architectures and design patterns, enabling you to design robust and scalable frontend solutions
- Cloud Computing Familiarity: Familiarity with at least one large cloud computing provider like AWS, Azure, etc., ensuring your ability to deploy and scale web applications in cloud environments
- Containerization Skills: Experience with containerizing applications using Docker, facilitating efficient deployment and management of web application environments
- Version Control Proficiency: Experience with Git or other version control software, demonstrating your ability to effectively collaborate on codebases and manage changes across projects
Desirable
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, providing a solid foundation for software development
- Commitment to Quality: Demonstrated commitment to writing elegant code and prioritizing software functionality, with a focus on optimizing runtime performance and adhering to good programming practices
- Testing Expertise: Experienced in developing unit tests and integration tests, with a dedication to ensuring code quality. Proficiency with testing frameworks like Jasmine and E2E testing frameworks is preferred
- Collaborative Approach: Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, including performing pair programming and participating in peer reviews to uphold code standards and foster team cohesion
- Passion for Innovation: Creativity and a passion for tackling challenging data problems are essential, coupled with a willingness to embrace the dynamic environment of a startup
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and successful project outcomes
What the job involves
- Expertise in Angular Ecosystem: Desirable experience and proficiency in developing within the Angular ecosystem, enabling seamless integration and optimization of frontend components
- Architectural Vision: Architect efficient and reusable frontend components for the portal platform, emphasizing maintainability and reusability to streamline development processes
- User-Centric Solutions: Collaborate closely with stakeholders and product managers to design and implement user-centric frontend solutions, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives
- Cross-Platform Compatibility: Craft solutions for diverse device layouts and styling issues across multiple browsers and platforms, ensuring a consistent and seamless user experience
- Clean Code Mastery: Create clean, organized, and modular HTML and CSS code, leveraging contemporary techniques, tools, and libraries to enhance code quality and maintainability
- UX Design Integration: Ensure the technical feasibility of UX design concepts, aligning frontend development with relevant design flows to deliver intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
- Innovative Prototyping: Build proof of concepts to drive development and business decisions, leveraging prototypes to explore and validate innovative solutions
- Industry Best Practices: Understand and promote industry best practices and modern design trends, staying abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement
- Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in an Agile Scrum based software development process, contributing to all stages of the software lifecycle, from design and development to testing, bug fixing, and cloud deployment
