What the job involves

  • Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, the Business Development Representative (BDR) is the first point of contact for all of our potential customers
  • For inbound leads, the BDR works closely with Demand Generation to catch any interest and provide prospects who have “raised their hand” with a friction-free experience to get their questions answered
  • When the BDR has no inbound leads to service, they are constantly researching new potential suspects using the attributes of our “Ideal Customer Profile,” working their network and sales tools, following up on high-quality lists, and always tweaking and improving our messages and scripts
  • Above all, the BDR takes ownership of every opportunity to engage a new prospect
  • This is a highly visible position with great opportunity for growth into full-cycle sales, customer success, and other positions across the Go-to-Market team
  • Responding to leads and executing a high volume of calls and emails per day
  • Researching prospects to build effective outreach, learning the needs of our target prospects and articulating the value that Clariti provides
  • Using a combination of phone, email, and social touches to schedule qualified meetings with prospects
  • Working with the Demand Generation team to develop target lists, call strategies, messaging and new ways to increase awareness of Clariti
  • Constantly evolving and improving the lead qualification process
  • Engaging with your Sales Executive partner to ensure timely handoff of leads
  • Maintaining a pipeline of prospects as information is gathered and interest is vetted
  • Leveraging Salesforce CRM to track and maintain notes and activities
  • Success is driven by a combination of the following:
  • Hitting the daily target of personalized emails/calls sent to suspects who fit our ICP
  • Driving a fast follow-up of incoming leads - when prospects actively look for a solution, the early bird gets the worm
  • Delivering the target Discovery Call goal by following up on MQLs and turning those into meetings scheduled with our Business Development Executives
  • Becoming an expert on Clariti’s value proposition, the pains we solve for our customers, and what they will gain by using our solutions

Our take

Clariti provides specialized community development solutions designed to streamline permitting and planning processes for local governments, supporting some of the largest cities in Canada and the US.

The company's solutions are integral for local governments looking to enhance their community development workflows. By integrating advanced technology, Clarity creates smoother interactions between municipal staff and residents, ensuring that permitting processes are accessible and transparent.

The software's growing adoption across major cities underscores its effectiveness. And it hasn't gone unnoticed, with the company recently securing substantial funding from a number of investors, positioning Clariti for continued growth and innovation within the community development sector.
