Assistant Risk Manager, London Stock Exchange

• Experience in Non-Financial Risk which have included coverage roles of Corporate Functions
• Experience in a first or second line risk role with fluency in enterprise risk management frameworks and their application
• Understanding of controls and ability to assess and challenge their adequacy
• Experience of risk and controls assessment process
• Excellent communication skills and highly collaborative across the Group, with a global view on problem solving, stakeholder management
• Ability to bring together information to produce compelling management reports
• Inputs into selection of KPIs and objectives and ensures alignment with the broader Group risk strategy
• Understanding of non financial risk measuring and quantification pre and post application of controls

• The Group Risk team is responsible for establishing the framework for the management of risks across the Group. The function acts as a close advisor to businesses and is engaged in all key strategic initiatives. They should be seen as a strategic partner with deep relationships that proactively identifies, escalates and supports management of risks

• The role requires close alignment and coordination with Group Risk colleagues in both central teams (Frameworks, Policy, CEP, Tooling, Cyber, Sustainability, TPRM) and Coverage (Data and Analytics, Markets, Post Trade and Operations)
• Support the Divisional Risk Officer for the Corporate Functions ( Excl. Ops/Tech) to identify, assess, manage and monitor their risks, covering Group Risk, Audit and Corporate Secretariat
• Support the Markets and Financial Risk team with reporting and MI tasks
• Oversees the identification, analysis and monitoring of key drivers for non-financial risk in Corporate Functions and adopts a business partnering approach
• Enables implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
• Develops strong risk culture and promotes awareness of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
• Ensures action is taken around risks outside of appetite within their specific area of coverage
• Oversight over ongoing control enhancement, issue remediation, communication and training across coverage areas
• Identifying and reporting risks to relevant committees, key business partners and senior leaders, providing expert advice and guidance in all matters relating to risk management for relevant areas
• Supporting the First Line team in delivering and maintaining the Risk and Control Assessment (RCA)
• Ensuring all risks identified as being near or outside appetite have high quality remediation plans
• Review and challenge of key controls and self identified and internal audit issues and findings
• Attendance and participation in relevant risk committees, forums, project boards and workshops
• Delivery of training and workshops to key partners and employees as required
• Support the Markets Division Risk Governance: coordinate the preparation of the material for the monthly Risk Committees, attend and minute the meetings and maintain an actions tracker
• Support the Financial Risk team in the documentation of processes and systems
