Who you are

What the job involves

  • In this role, you’ll serve as the face of Parallel for families, students and schools that are seeking care with us
  • You will introduce Parallel’s services to prospective clients from both marketing channels as well as referral partnerships with schools and other organizations and follow-up with leads to make sure that all their questions are answered in order to make a well-informed decision about whether Parallel is the right choice for their family or organization
  • Research and identify new business opportunities based on key customer profiles in school districts and other relevant organizations
  • Apply sales development best practices with email, phone, and social outreach to connect with new prospects
  • Utilize discovery and objection handling strategies to speak knowledgeably with decision-makers and to build interest in our offerings
  • Engage with prospects to articulate Parallel’s value proposition
  • Record contacts and outreach using our CSM (HubSpot/Salesforce)
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently achieve and exceed program targets

Our take

One-fifth of US students struggle with some kind of thinking or learning difference, like dyslexia or dyspraxia - but classrooms are rarely fit to accommodate the special provisions required. Waitlists for private treatment, tutoring, and therapy can be prohibitively long - and the cost prohibitively steep, too. So what’s the answer? For educational support company Parallel, it’s about democratizing and accelerating access for students in need.

Parallel’s platform centralizes providers, resources, and assessment options which can see learners diagnosed and accessing support in a matter of days. It’s this rapid turnaround time, in fact, which has no doubt helped Parallel net partnerships with school systems: schools are legally obliged to offer educational support, but are often too under-resourced and overworked to comfortably do so within the legal time frame.

As this very young company begins to expand its services across the United States at a surprising pace, it's clearly responding to a real market need. With funding in the bag, Parallel has made a strong start to address it.
