Our take

TeachFX is on a mission to improve education by enabling teacher's to access feedback on their lessons. The company's AI-led app analyzes classroom instruction, student engagement, discourse patterns and the equity of voice to determine how effective the teacher's delivery was - meaning that they can tune and improve their lessons in the future.

Typically, teachers do not have access to robust or immediate feedback from their administrators, and hence can be slow to adapt methods that are not working. In an industry as important as education, TeachFX's one-button analysis and on-demand feedback could prove a vital tool to improving outcomes across the board.

The company has partnered with a range of teaching institutes including math tutoring platform Cignition and virtual school Sora Schools. The ability of its app to work both in-person and online has led to its significant funding from the likes of Reach Capital and should provide TeachFX with a real opportunity to thrive in the new part-virtual education space.
