What the job involves

  • Remote Embedded is our partnerships business, enabling our partners to embed Remote’s services through an API directly into their own platforms and applications
  • As an Engineering Manager, you will lead teams responsible for building the integrations and APIs that power Remote Embedded. You will ensure efficient team operations and collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers to deliver impactful solutions
  • You will also be involved in calls with prospects and partners throughout their full lifecycle—from sales to implementation—to help them and your teams design and implement optimal solutions
  • Teams at Remote typically consist of 5-6 members. You will manage two to four engineering teams, and their team leaders will be your direct reports
  • You will also participate in and own horizontal initiatives, such as hiring or improving engineering processes
  • Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver high-quality integrations and APIs
  • Ensure smooth operation and alignment of teams with business goals
  • Drive the growth of direct and indirect reports through targeted feedback, coaching, and support
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to drive successful outcomes
  • Maintain high service standards and ensure SLAs are met for partners
  • Identify and facilitate collaboration with other teams within Remote
  • Participate and lead horizontal engineering activities, such as hiring, onboarding and performance management
