Who you are

  • 5+ years experience working in a technology startup
  • Experience working with founders, able to execute quickly with a strong product focus

What the job involves

  • You’ll lead our Operations team, which includes people, talent, and strategy. Additionally, you will lead our support and growth teams, collaborating with senior leadership to make Argent a top workplace and an industry innovator. Our goal is to attract and retain exceptional Argonauts while providing the foundation for everyone to do their best work
  • You’ll own all of Argent’s internal operations, ensuring a peak performance organisation driven by clear strategy and goals
  • As part of our senior management team, you will assist our founders in strategy and scaling the operations of the company
  • Ensure we have a well-defined strategy with clear goals that are effectively communicated across the business
  • Continuously improve our people process to maintain the current best in class employee retention
  • Some people projects include: better coaching / learning and development programs, coaching of manager to better implement existing processes etc
  • Work closely with founders to understand the culture we strive for while challenging the status quo to keep improving company performance and culture
  • Be the strategic cement of the organisation, ensuring product, marketing, engineering, support, ecosystem, etc are tightly aligned and work hands in hands towards our strategic objectives
  • We believe a company is like a product, start with minimal viable process and iterate from there
  • You’ll have a strong biased for action, execute quickly on ideas then iterate

Our take

The public popularity of cryptocurrency is increasing, but the level of sophistication required is holding back mainstream adoption, and concepts like seed phrases and cold wallets have meant crypto has stayed mainly within technology-savvy communities. To open the space up to more users, Argent have created a smart wallet which feels more like logging into your bank account, where people can buy, earn, stake, and trade on Ethereum Layer 2.

Argent's pull is in its consumer-friendly, non-intimidating approach. It boasts low fees, high speeds, and quality security, alongside all the functions of saving, sending, borrowing, earning interest, and investing. Additionally, users can assign Argent Guardians in the form of trusted persons, third-party services, or hardware wallets, that can approve account recovery or untrusted transactions, but do not have access to their assets, instead of having to remember a key.

With the underlying wallet infrastructure in place, Argent has plans to build a Super App combining numerous DeFi and Web 3.0 features including virtual real estate, gaming, and NFTs. The company has seen growing demand from Latin America, and will begin expansion into the region with entry into Mexico.
