What the job involves

  • As a Senior Recruiter, you’ll work across both technical and non-technical teams—from engineering to marketing, product to finance
  • You bring a strong network, take ownership of high-impact searches, and collaborate closely with HRBPs, hiring managers, and internal partners to drive efficiency and clarity
  • Most importantly, you understand our values and what it means to be a Wealthsimpler
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for high-impact, complex roles across tech and business teams—move fast, hire smart
  • Shape hiring plans that actually move the needle, partnering tightly with Hiring Managers, HRBPs, and Finance
  • Use AI and smart tools to speed up sourcing and streamline workflows—always keeping the human touch front and center
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset: try, tweak, repeat, and level up how we use hiring tech
  • Lead intake and search strategy like a pro—drop market insights, data, and solid judgment that helps teams think ahead
  • Don’t wait for roles to open—build and nurture talent pools early with fearless, thoughtful sourcing in niche and hard-to-fill spots
  • Run hiring processes that are fast, inclusive, and smooth—for candidates and hiring teams alike
  • Own interview loops, debriefs, and closing with care and clarity—make every step count
  • Track KPIs and funnel health like a hawk; use data to catch risks early and sharpen hiring strategies
  • Help define what “great” really means—calibrate expectations, coach others on fair and long-term impact hiring
  • Represent Wealthsimple’s EVP with heart—tell stories that make candidates want to join our mission
  • Coach junior recruiters, share wins, and build a team culture of learning and growth
  • Lead process audits and projects that push TA tools, systems, and candidate experience forward—think scalable impact
  • Foster a recruiting culture that’s supportive, high-performing, and 100% aligned with Wealthsimple’s values

Our take

Wealthsimple is one of a crop of robo-advisors trying to democratize investment management. These companies are disrupting the industry by automating many of the processes involved in investment removing the need for human advisors.

But while other so-called robo-advisors are focused on courting the high end of the market, Wealthsimple is trying to provide the same types of tools and advice to all users, regardless of the amount they have to invest.

Wealthsimple does have higher fees than some other robo-advisors such as Betterment and Charles Schwab. However, the company believes that it provides a more user-friendly platform, tailored to millennials who will be attracted to Wealthsimple due to its ease of use and social impact offerings.
