Who you are
- You've demonstrated success in managing software/product engineers across multiple teams, potentially up to ~8 ICs
- Youâre at a level of seniority where youâve been responsible for guiding more junior Engineering Managers in their professional development
- You have a proven track record of successfully managing complex people issues with minimal support
- Youâre highly competent in cultivating strong relationships across various business functions

What the job involves
- As an Engineering Manager at Accurx, youâll be a driving force behind our mission to transform healthcare communication across the UK, leading a group of talented engineers to push boundaries, innovate, and deliver impactful solutions that improve patient care
- In this role, youâll have organisation-wide impact, collaborating with other Engineering Managers and the Engineering Director on initiatives to improve tools and processes, implement directives from Engineering leadership, and influence a broad range of stakeholders to effect positive change across the company
- Understanding the strengths and areas for development of your team members, youâll provide suitable performance management and developmental support
- Ensuring strong engineering delivery, youâll ensure that your team's behaviours and practices align with high-performance standards
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders such as Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Designers, youâll help to make sure team goals and deliverables are achieved
- Mentoring and coaching other Engineering Managers, youâll cultivate a high-performing community within Accurx
- Collaborating with other Engineering Managers and leadership, youâll identify and implement improvements in engineering management tools and processes
- Ensuring appropriate staffing and skill utilisation within your teams, youâll facilitate their effectiveness in delivering on their roadmaps
- Communicating company-wide changes effectively to your team members, you will foster positive transparency and alignment
- Participating in hiring initiatives and contributing to the development of hiring processes, youâll be central to the growth of the engineering organisation

Communication between patients and nurses/doctors has typically happened via telephone call or post. This outdated technology is costly and doesn't provide a great experience. Accurx solves this problem with its communication and collaboration platform.
Accurx is building tools that allow GPs and other healthcare providers to communicate more efficiently with their patients and with each other in order to deliver top-quality care. Its products are now used in over 95% of GP practices. This is testament to the value of Accurx's platform.
Since raising considerable funding, Accurx has been focused on growing its team and developing its products, including batch messaging between clinics and patients, to help care sites ease the burden of long wait lists and understaffing. With these challenges continuing to mount for the health system, Accurx is likely to remain in high demand for the foreseeable future.
