What the job involves

  • Establish technical best practices, policies, ways of working, testing and delivery strategies, overseeing these across the engineering team
  • Building a first-class technology and engineering team, recruiting the best, training staff well and inspiring our technologists to innovate and deliver excellent customer service
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate engineering organisation structure which supports the needs of the business
  • Be accountable for the operational health of the product group, using data to drive improvements, ensuring our products are delivered and supported to a high standard
  • Lead technology strategic and engineering planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritising technology initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technology across Ki
  • Partner with Product Managers, Tech Leads and Senior Engineers to help build and achieve product roadmap plans with a high level of quality
  • Get involved with diversity projects to help build a diverse and inclusive culture
  • Promote ownership and accountability, learning and teaching, and driving our Engineering Principles helping to develop a culture of excellence and wellbeing
