Our take

Digital collaboration and cross-border payments are vital for markets such as banking and insurance, but enabling collaboration safely and securely isn’t easy. R3 solves this problem with its confidential blockchain technology.

R3 was one of the first companies to deliver distributed ledger technology, which allows organizations to collaborate confidentially. Since its launch, the company has built an impressive user base, connecting hundreds of enterprise-level institutions. R3’s enterprise blockchain Corda has seen particularly widespread adoption among some of the world’s biggest companies, including Microsoft and Intel. This is testament to R3’s ability to align efficient, confidential collaboration.

R3 has continued to innovate and expand, with moves such as acquiring tokenization platform Ivno, partnering with Mastercard and Wethaq, and expanding its Venture Development program. With the increasing popularity of decentralized, digitized finance, atop a long list of prominent and successful use cases, R3 is positioned well to consolidate their success in the years ahead.
