Who you are

  • We are seeking an experienced sales executive with a minimum of 10 years sales experience, particularly within the data analytics industry
  • This role requires exceptional evangelism skills, deep understanding of the database industry landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, with a proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the database industry
  • Excellent evangelism skills with the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of complex technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of database technologies, storage systems, and data management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and senior decision-makers
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding sales targets
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of VAST Data's groundbreaking data platform product
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand VAST Data's customer base
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target accounts
  • Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of VAST Data's innovative data platform
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and customer success to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and alignment with company objectives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to effectively position VAST Data's solutions in the market
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals while adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports to management
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for VAST Data, representing the company with professionalism and integrity at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
  • Continuously strive for personal and professional growth through ongoing learning and development initiatives
