What the job involves

  • Pave is excited to expand our technical support team and we’re looking for an outstanding Customer Support Engineer to establish how we deliver excellent service to our rapidly growing customer base
  • As a Customer Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include resolving Tier-2 escalated customer queries, troubleshooting our codebase to identify root causes of issues, submitting code changes for bug fixes and small feature improvements
  • This is an opportunity to bring your fire to help shape the Support Engineering team, taking on exciting technical challenges while partnering with internal teams to drive outstanding solutions to complex issues
  • Collaborate with the Support and Engineering teams to resolve product issues requiring code changes
  • Act as a single point of contact for technical issues with ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues independently
  • Solve any technical issues a customer is having by leading detailed investigations, exhausting all possible troubleshooting resources
  • Own and create all product and support related technical documentation, including tutorials, resolution steps, training materials, and technical support knowledge articles
  • Advocate for the value of Pave’s products to our customers as you become a subject matter expert in the compensation space

Our take

Compensation survey and merit cycle processes are integral to so many businesses, and yet remain time-consuming manual activities. Staff often lack financial training resulting in spreadsheet induced errors. Pave saw a need to update and streamline the process.

The core advantage of Pave is its ease of integration with HRIS, ATS and cap table software, creating real-time compensation data views without the need for spreadsheets. Using the software creates a fair and transparent system that management can rely on and employees can respect. The company has seen strong momentum, with backing from big names like Y Combinator and az16.

Some organisations have been reluctant to adopt solutions like Pave’s on account of the radical transparency it provides. However, with companies like Credit Karma, Miro and Discord all signing on, Pave has proven its ability to draw lucrative enterprise-level clients. It also became a Unicorn in 2022 after an impressive Series C funding round, boding well for its longevity.
