  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and design solutions that enhances functionality
  • Developing and implementing solutions to connect our platform with provider applications
  • Writing and testing your own code (unit/integration/functional testing), and peer testing others’
  • Working closely with PMs, other devs, Customer Support & Implementation teams to get feedback & continuously improve integration features

Our take

Proper use of medical images is a vital part of effective healthcare: visual assets are essential for understanding a treatment course or for soliciting second opinions. Despite this, a big logistical issue has been holding back their effective use. The problem centres around how medical images are shared, both practitioner-to-practitioner and practitioner-to-patient. Many healthcare providers are stuck in the past, relying on out-of-date tech like CD-ROMs. This is creating huge problems for efficiency and patient outcomes.

PocketHealth has set out to solve this. Its product is a medical image-sharing platform which allows imaging records to be shared instantly and securely. Since its founding in 2016, it has created a unified image management solution for its over 550 hospital and imaging clinic customers across North America. Though conceptually straightforward, its product has proven highly disruptive and has sent massive ripples through the medical spheres.

Now, following big funding, PocketHealth is accelerating investment in new product development, go-to-market expansion and employee hiring in order to empower more patients to take an active role in their care. With a strong market to build on in North America, as well as a global potential market, the future looks really bright for PocketHealth.
